Jeetendra To Not Host Annual Diwali Bash Due To Dear Friend Rishi Kapoor's Sad Demise
This year there will no Diwali bash for veteran actor Jeetendra, confirmed his son Tusshar Kapoor. As per reports in IANS, the actor-producer  shared the reason behind cancelling of there much talked about Diwali bash which sees almost everyone from the industry, will not be held with his father losing one of his close friends this year.  Jeetendra and Rishi Kapoor shared a close bond, and with passing away of Rishi Kapoor in April 2020, the family has decided not to host a bash this year. 

Tusshar said, “Unlike every year, there will be no big Diwali bash at our residence because of the sad demise of our very dear family friend, Rishi Kapoor ji, and of course the pandemic.” He further shared hence year it will be more of the family members spending time with one another. He added, “It's festivities and celebrations with just the family.” “This Diwali is indeed a happy Diwali but with a difference, where minimalism will take precedence. However, the fervour will be kept alive as we will spend it at home with our family,” added the actor. 

Speaking about Laxmii starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani that released on OTT platform, the producer also mentioned being busy with its post release work, he said, “I have been pretty occupied with our film which was released yesterday.”
